The fully automatic molding machine is highly automated and operates at a rapid pace. Once there are potential hazards, they can easily lead to equipment malfunctions, waste of workpieces, or even safety incidents. To ensure stable production and eliminate safety hazards, operators must complete standardized safety inspections before starting operations each day and implement the pre-shift inspection system.
Inspect the pneumatic system. Focus on checking whether there are any signs of air leakage, loosening, or aging and cracking in the overall machine’s air hoses, connections, and cylinder seals. Confirm that the system’s working pressure remains stable within the standard range. Air leakage can not only lead to issues like inaccurate molding and faulty boxes, but it can also cause equipment movement to become sluggish, resulting in mechanical collision faults. Additionally, it is necessary to empty the accumulator tank of water to prevent moisture from affecting the lifespan of pneumatic components.
Inspection of mechanical structures. Check if the critical mechanisms such as vibration compaction, pressing, mold removal, and box assembly are loose, deformed, or producing unusual sounds. Ensure that the guide rails and guide columns are adequately lubricated. Confirm that the molds are securely fastened and not loose or displaced. Verify that the sand boxes are accurately positioned to prevent jams, mold breakage, and collisions during operation. Additionally, clean the equipment’s surface of sand and debris to ensure smooth operation.
Electrical and safety protection inspection. Inspect power cords and control lines for any damage, exposure, or wear. Verify that buttons and emergency stop switches are responsive and reliable. Confirm that the equipment’s safety protection covers and guardrails are intact and complete, and that the safety sensing devices are functioning normally. Conduct a startup with an empty load for 1–2 cycles to observe whether the equipment operates smoothly, without any unusual sounds or deviations.
